Born in Detroit, MI, I moved to Southern California very young and grew up in the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. Self taught from the age of 13, I’ve played guitar, bass, and drums in various bands since my high school years.

My first serious band, Staring Back, was signed to Santa Barbara indie label Lobster Records, who later signed Yellowcard before they moved to Capitol Records in 2002. After being friends with them for years, I joined as their lead guitarist in 2005.

After falling in love with the craft of audio mixing over the past decade and a half, I decided to pursue it full time when Yellowcard ended in 2017. In addition to mix engineering, I also offer guitar training online, via Zoom.

Besides music, my other interests include photography, soccer, hockey, coffee, Belgian beer, Tolkien, and heavy metal.
